Project Description

"Conflict over scarce resources and crowding, leading to increased levels of warfare".

The growth in global population continues to be an issue that raises debates surrounding very relevant sustainable issues in many different disciplines. As our resources become increasingly scarce, we face many problems that threaten the way we live.

Our Global population will continue to increase, as it does we make things that can adapt to that situation, creating something that makes us aware of that surrounding and our belongings. As our space runs out we must observe, share and react. How do we treat our belongings? How do we treat other peoples? Is there a way of bridging a gap in the future between people, places and our personal spaces.

Intended Outcome

• Experimentation with varying materials that illustrate the notion of fragility in a robust world.
• Creating 'pieces' and design solutions that explicitly depict an idea of not only fagility, but ornamental. For example..works of art or precious sculptures.
• Exploring sensory materials that highlight the importance of attachment to various substances and our reactions to them. For this i will be looking at chocolate and other deliciouly sweet things.
