Project Description

The near future - terrorist attacks and reality tv have led to an atmosphere of increased paranoia and exhibitionism.

Peekaboo plays with levels of transparancy and privacy. How much will we reveal in the future? Will we need to see the contents of bags in order to feel safe on public transport?

Intended Outcome

A printed collection on transparant materials both hard and soft; plastic, rubber, mesh.

Use of transparancy to play with imagery...picture completed when a material becomes transparent. Example; 2 way mirror or electrochromic.

Flaps or pockets that open seductively to reveal contents.

Moire/Optical to distract from seeing what is on the other side.

Imagery a mix of illustrative sillhouette, geometric pattern and intimate photography.
