Innovation Project

During the initial material research phase I became very interested in metal and it's various uses, forms and structures (liquid,knitted,fibres,constructed,solid,woven,sprayed...). Through my research into metal structures,I became intrigued with structures used for strengthening and protection. I started researching into industrial devices,packaging and body armour (both historic and modern).

Inspired by my research,I decided to explore and develop a way of using metal in textiles for a new approach in protective clothing.
