HUMMING THE WAY "sensory textiles that create a materials orchestra as you travel... revealing an extension of your personality" * sound_journey.mov

As the Samsonite saying “life is a journey”, these textiles for fashion are an exploration of sensory life experiences when you travel. 

Inspired by the Humming Bird, whose name derives from the characteristic “hum” made by their wings, the designs reveal different sounds as you move.

 Searching combinations of sounds with different materials, the textiles projects new audio revelations as part of our personality when we move, like jewellery does when worn, or shoes tap as we walk - we hum the way with a materials orchestra!



Metal scraps, palm leaves, woods, laiton bells, metal mesh, corals, horns, seeds, mother of pearl, wicker, glass, ceramics, plastics are amongst the visual composition used to create new rhythmical sounds, changing with the movement of your journey.
