Innovate Project - Cork - Dowdy or Glamorous?

Classic definations of innovation include: the process of making improvements by introducing something new: change that creates a new dimension of performance in a particular environment; a new idea, method or device.

I chose to explore the potential of changing the image of a material - Cork. With a dowdy and utilitarian image, I sought to give it a more glamorous and interesting texture.

Use of silkscreen, distressed foil and flocking gave it a tactile and often leathery quality.
