Research Question

Can interrogating the relationship between the garment and the wearer through movement lead to innovative fashion concept?

Rationale & Context

This project explores a new relation between garments and the wearer. I am trying to create a closer link between them, with a collection of textiles for ready-to-wear, top of the range clothes. The shape of the clothes would be changeable, through textiles, mostly creating 2D/3D connexions.

The movement of the body would actually be the activator of his change. When the person who is wearing the garments would walk/move, it would create a change in the garments. The garments would accompany the person's movement in a more exaggerated and explicit way, also creating surprising effects.

This would embellish and enhance the way someone moves and would create incredible and unespected shapes in some areas of the garments.

Material/ Technology

I work with different materials, and play with contrasts. I use natural traditional fabrics such as silk muslin, wool tweed, and techno innovative materials. I also use different fabrics weights, very light one and more heavy one.
