Bio

Philippa Wagner is a materials and innovation consultant who is a hybrid between designer, engineer and visionary having been a pioneer in bringing together the world of fashion, textiles and technology through her work at Philips. Being a founder member of the wearable electronics team at Philips in the early 90’s Philippa was a co designer on the first commercially available wearable, the Levis ICD+ jacket and has since worked on numerous smart materials projects for both Philips and other clients. Finding her niche in materials Philippa is currently the senior materials consultant to WGSN the international fashion, design and trend forecasting website as well as being a visiting lecturer on the Textiles futures course at CSM as well as the RCA Fashion and Textiles ma and is a material and innovation consultant for a growing list of clients.
