Biomimicry final group crit Year 1 students

Year 1 students have worked in 3 teams of 10 to get creative in 3 different skill areas and had to deal with the team spirit on a common topic : Biomimetic surfaces. It was really sucessful as a result and here are some images from this special day, where we had the pleasure to have Tom Podkolinski, Suzanne Lee as guests and professional panel.

• BIO FABRICATION group designed a great material library and dealt with fabricating surfaces. Towards the future of craft.

• BIO FUTURES group (aka TOTEM 9 future trend agency), designed biomimetic inspiration with imagery and videos, by making props and discovering the wonders of editing and visual communication.

The braided suit : inspired by bio-luminescent underwater creatures

• BIO INTELLIGENCE group experimented with electronics and Arduino Platform to design smart poetic devices that react to environment stimulation, such as light or movement. Magic !
